I'm a big fan of black and white. My only thought on the first one is that the foreground is very similar in tone to the sunlit peak. Have you considered darkening the foreground (on both the b/w images) to contrast with and bring more attention to the background? Killer sky on that first one, btw!

The b&w shots aren't quite working for me due to a lack of contrast. The last color image seems to be an outtake from your first posted shot from this place, which was excellent.
The first color image is the best of this series, although it has a bit of a color cast.
Once you clear that up, it looks great!

I need to go there NOW! These are sick, Steve.

Man I need to get out. You guys are killing me! These are great reminders of why I want to get into this range sometime soon. Thanks Stephen! (Well done too!)

What great conditions you got Stephen. Nice set! The first color one has me wanting to see a bit more of the bottom.
#4 is my pick of the bunch. The golden reflection on the water at the right is really lovely. The B&Ws don't feel as three dimensional or as lively to me: my brain just wants to categorize the entire frame as "granite texture." But both color shots really make me want to be there. Nice work!

Really nice Steve. The tarn is one of my favorite places on earth. I found it very hard to make B/W images there. Nearly everything is made of the same rock.

I tend to agree with the others. The color images are far better. The BW images seem to be lacking the tonal separation they need to be successful. If you can remedy that they would be great too.
Ok guys
you really need to see the BW platinum toned prints I made of the the two posted BW images. The prints show a much greater tonal range and contrast compared to the web versions.
