I am proud to announce that a series of four photographs of mine - titled "Four seasons in the Alps" - have been awarded 3rd place in the nature/seasons pro category of the 2009 IPA competition. In addition, eight of my other entries received an Honorable Mention. This was the first time I entered a competition, so I'm totally blown off by the outcomes...May I brag a little bit?
I just wanted to share my happiness with all NPN fellows, and also thank you all for your invaluable mentoring, feedback and advice I received in these two years, which I believe had a great weight in this achievement.
At least another NPN member - Marsel Van Oosten - has been awarded in the competition, so congratulations Marsel!

This doesn't surprise me one bit as your photographs are consistently some of the best on this site - and the best I've seen. Seems like getting lost in the Alps every now and then is paying off. . . .
Ahah Luke, I'm afraid you are right! If these are the outcomes, I think I will get lost more often, and intentionally... and won't buy a GPS, of course!
Huge congrats Paolo, I've always loved your work! And I know exactly the feeling of giddyness, I hope that never goes away

You have an artist's eye and none that frequent NPN should be surprised by your achieving this recognition! Congratulations to you ( and to Marsel as well.)
