Not much into photography right now but still a lot of unprocessed images in my archives. I was looking trough the bear files and came across this one. A dominant male scratching a tree to mark his territory. Quite far away so I cropped this image by about 20%.
Like the composition and the light, a bit pity of the branches of the tree in the foreground.
BTW congrats with your youngest fellow photographer...

Ah! both them B*&^%$D's together .One from Holland the other Belgian .Nothing like a bit of good old anglo/ euro relation building ! B&^$£*D's all on them. Can't trust them one bit you know . Claim they get nothing and.....LOL
I can almost feel the relief from that scratch.Nit covered . Nice one.

A very nice behavioural shot of the bear in its environment.

Avery nice beast in habitat scene. I would have removed the tripod from the foreground but a nice shot.

Thanks guys,
I know about the A-shaped tree but it's just part of the scene. Not only do they scratch but they also break down little trees to mark their scent and show their strenght. It's just part of their natural habitat.

Hi Edwin,
Great shot, love the habitat shown, the bushes don't worry me much! Nice one!
I've got to be honest this one doesn't do much for me I'm afraid - not sure what it is but it just doesn't hold my attention. Maybe it's the branches in the foreground, I'm not sure though, just can't quite put my finger on it
Like Richard I cannot quite put my finger on why this doesn't work for me either, perhaps the image is too busy... I find my eye is drawn around rather than to the subject.... I guess a lot is personal preference.
