Purple patch
Up on one of my haunts last week and it's amazing how different areas change at different times. I have been after this for a while, but was amazed that within a 40 mile area the heather might not be out :-( Good to see not all were taken on the 12th.

Location
North Yorkshire

Equipment
MkIII 500f/4 plus 1.4x f/5.6 1/800 ISO400

Another very nice grouse picture, is it something about grouse and their surroundings that just look right?

Bob.
