Its been a strange spring and summer for me , the little owls changed their nesting site, the barn owls were rarely seen in decent enough light to improve on last years shots and the kestrels that have been attacking the barn owls for the last 4 years were absent from the nest box. I did manage to get a new family of little owls feeding but gave up as the site was to public. That only leaves the marsh harriers and since the site I have access to have no hide, its all from the car. Its taken them about 3 months to get them used to the car being parked in the same place each day and for the to venture close enough to get any worthwhile shot , even then with a 600mm they are still at extreme range. One added bonus has been a juvenile Montague’s that has been around for a week or two.Thise is a marsh about to drop.
Who ever said wildlife photography was easy? Obviously someone who has never tried it! Your story just proves the point. Congratulations on your patience and perseverance. Your shot was well deserved.

Nice action capture Bob, I like how it shows the bird in its natural surroundings.
