Lapwings
Hello

Dull, grey and pouring down with rain - typical English Summer, these Lapwings didn't seem to mind though.

Techs

D300+ 500mm f4 with 1.7 T/C (850mm)
1/250 second at f7.1 ISO 200, beanbag on hide window ledge

cheers for looking

Colin

poor little chap looks a tad unhappy. I really like seeing rain shots as it is typical of the UK.

What a great environmental shot.. I like the action of the rain and inclusion of the OOF birds in the BG. Something quite different and it works for me.

I remember a friend once telling me that his new hide was built to withstand the rigours of a British summer. He probably had a day like this in mind. Great shot, captures the mood beautifully.
