Great view and lovely clarity of light. I'd desaturate the red object in front of the house and another red blob under the railway arch. Hard to ignore things when they're that colour. Still trying to decide whether I'd lose a little off the bottom. As a jpeg at this size it is hard to see how much detail there is in the LHS lower corner, but at this size that area lacks a little interest for me.

Yes an excellent atmospheric image, fine as it is IMHO., but I can see Duncan's point about losing a little off the bottom, at this size.
Thought I recognised it! Just down the Dale from me at Garsdale Head, between Hawes and Sedbergh. The railway line is the Settle to Carlisle which runs across the famous Ribblehead Viaduct a little to the south. A great moody shot Guy and you've captured the feel of the winter landscape around here really well.

Hello Simon.
Thanks for your comment and the advice on the locatioin. This will really help as I am going to turn this in to a black and white and make some large prints form it.
