I think wide angle shots are fantastic but the dark vegetation here is overwhelming. When my eye sees the glimpse of orange of the sunrise I want to get higher so I can see more of the environment and sunrise.
I'm glad you posted this though, it's interesting to know what you were thinking.

i quite like this, the ambiguos outline of the bird and fluttering wings combined with the dark sky really make this an interesting and slightly sinister image
