Just returned from the tropics visiting family and friends. Despite a relatively long stay, didn't get a chance to even have a full days shoot in 3 weeks :frown: .

Only managed a few from the odd moments here and there like this one during a walk to the edge of the (rain)forest late one afternoon. This is a youngster.

Larger version here.

210mm, f5, 1/15s, -0.7ev, iso400, monopod, full frame.

Nice one Des but would like the monkey to be a little less central, as in more to the left.

I think this is one of your best, Des. I don't mind the monkey being central, it works as he is looking more or less straight at you. I also like the depth of field, the subject stands out, but you still get a good idea of the habitat. Great work.

Yes I like the centralisation of the subject, and as David suggests it stands out very well against the BG. Excellent.

Nice image. If you have the room to play with various crops I would try putting the monkey more lower right to allow the vine to lead the eye down to the animal.
