Female Mandarin
Wanted to get a female out of the water for a change but she kept going into shade hence the low shutter speed.

C & C welcome

You did well to achieve a sharp image with the 'Bigma' at 1/30s at 320mm, Maggie. Very nice muted colours and a nice smile on her face.

A very attractive shot and I too like the muted colours althouh the tip of the beak gets a bit lost in the bg. It really is nice to see some shots of the less glamorous females because their subtle colouration has an appeal of its own.

Even the female of this species has some lovely muted colours shown well here.
Pity we couldn't see a bit more leg Maggie.

A very nice looking & well detailed bird In good surroundings that add texture.

Lovely soft colours, I would have liked to have seen it from a lower view point but as you have already lost the feet I realize that it would not have been possible. I have to agree with major when it comes to legs!

More legs for me too please! Don't think I've seen one posted before so thanks for sharing.
