I have been photographing at Pebble Beach on the San Mateo coast for years. That place has eluded my camera for years as well. However in July I got one that I am very happy with. I posted this on ESS but it did not seem to get to much attention. I would love to hear other fellow Cali photog opinions on this, especially if you have photogrpahed there in teh past.

Youssef,
I love the colors in the foreground pools and reflections; just wonderful. I also like the inclusion of the sunset, but the darkness in the upper and left rocks is just a bit too dark for me - but not a major issue and you should be very happy with this one. I know I would be.

Youssef,
Never photographed up there, but I can relate to up-close coastal photography. I have spent many days this sumer, mostly along the La Jolla beaches/tide pools, and have yet to get a photo I truly enjoy. With the tricky lighting, ocean spray, and the few waves that have come crashing on me I would be very happy with the photograph you have posted. Nice work. Great sky color and love the subtle light creeping across the pools and fg rocks.

Nice heavenly light Youssef. The color and warm glow brings out of that texture. Just adding to Lon's obstacles, it's pretty difficult to get these shots considering getting so low and keeping the mist of the lens that just there even without spray, after all of that then you still have to see if the horizon is off. I've always wondered how it's done large format? It all looks well balanced and nicely pulled off to me.

I liked it in the ES&S gallery and like it here. Lots of interesting shapes, colors and light top to bottom. Works for me... nice work!
