A cracking Vole image Maggie. Nice sharp details, good catchlight in the eye & a super pose. He looks like hes rubbing his hands together, Good dof & nice surroundings :toast:

Nice shot, just needs some more room around it.

Another cracker Maggie, are you sure that you aren’t breeding them!

You really are getting close to these guys! Is that your reflection in his eye?
Another species I have yet to get.
Well done.

I agree with Terri about it needing some extra room in the frame, but otherwise a superb image.

Great as it is, Maggie. IMHO. I can't understand this need for extra room when it is a close-up image.  Excellent detail and colours with a nice hint of BG, and a lovely expression on its face.

That's a lovely shot Maggie. I agree with David Taylor on this one, it's a portrait not an environmental image. If this was used in a magazine it would probably end up cropped even tighter.

Hello Maggie.

Thats a beautiful portrait of this Water Vole, and the detail is very nice.

The only thing I think I would do is to darken the bright peice of grass opposite his eye, as I find it does pull my eye.
