This shot was taken a few weeks ago at Lost Creek Falls just outside Cornucopia, Wisconsin. This was my first trip to the falls in several years. My last trip was just after a strong storm that left trees down on the trail and in the falls. I was pleasantly surprised to see the trees removed from the fall and that the falls had so much water given the drought we have been having.
I saw the article in Wisconsin Trails about Wisconsin waterfalls and was surprised that the author hit the major ones; in many ways, I was pleased that she left out the less-well-known waterfalls... ;)

Nicely done! Good job of balancing the highlights and shadows.

Sweet image Phil. I truly enjoy water and waterfalls. I enjoy the lighting in your image as well as the rich colors. Nice composition. Makes me want to head to the UP and walk about.

This is a wonderful, unique waterfalls shot, Phil. The FG is really nice with the wet rocks and the jailhouse feel to the blurred water. The BG has good details in the shadows, but the rocks seem just a tad soft back there for some reason. The overall composition is gorgeous and original. Nicely seen.
p.s. to Steven - this is a Wisconsin beauty, not a UP beauty, but close enough in the larger geographical scheme of things.
