Superbly done David, I think this has to be the sharpest DIF shot I've ever seen, top draw image.

David

That really is a stunner. Flight shots are difficult at the best of times. Sharp detail.

I have tried (and failed) to get this many a time. As Barry says, a real stunner.

I'm intrigued as to know how long this took to achieve, David? Also, were you panning and AF-ing or was the camera locked-off and the focus preset?

Top drawer, right down to the amount of blur in the wings.
A very high standard of work.

Cheers,
Chris

Hi Chris

I went out especially trying to get Hawkers in flight where they were regularly patroling in front of a permanent hide. They will occasionally stop and hover when I would manually focus just in front of them and then use AF servo - to try and AF without using manual focus first is almost impossible. I did come home with some 40+ sharp images!

Regards
David

Hello David.

Hi David,

You've captured this one perfectly. The green background sets the dragonfly off superbly.
