Channel 9 news was saying last night that with all the smoke in the atmoshpere, we will probably get some great sunrises and sunsets over the next few days. I remember 2 summers ago I got one of the best sunset shots ever when there was smoke in the air. I hate to see the losses in California so I hope they get a handle on it pretty quick.

If last night's blood red moon was any indication, I'd say channel 9 is right. I'm planning on being out this weekend.

To say nothing of yesterday's red sun. Yesterday, red sun, no camera. Today, no sun, but I had the camera. Typical.

Its too bad the visibility is terrible, the red sun yesterday was pretty strange.
That sun this morning was great. Don't forget, on friday, that the full moon will be rising while the sun's setting and the sun will be rising while the full moon's setting.

Well tonight was a bummer. I think the smoke is so bad it's keeping the sun from getting through. There's a nice reddish orange moon though.
