Hi All,
I have a couple old photos of The Hermitage Hotel taken around the 20's or 30's. It appears to be located in the west somewhere - maybe even Canada, but doing a search turned up no clues. One of the people pictured (next image) is my great grandfather. He lived for a time in Denver, so this may be in Colorado somewhere. I'm very curious where this might be located and whether it still stands.
Can anyone help track this down?

Wow, that's a tough one. It's setting looks very undeveloped for being as late as the '20s or '30s.

I saw all those Mt. Cook/NZ links on Bing, but the pics didn't really look like the same location.

I agree with Jamie on this one for sure. Chimneys line up, windows and posts are the same. The sign on the picture says hermitage Hotel.

If you do go to Ogden just remember; it's a hotbed of gang activity in the SLC area. I probably wouldn't leave too much expensive camera equipment in my vehicle if I were you.
On another note, I've drive Ogden Canyon a couple times and it really is a gorgeous area. I think it'd be interesting to see how much, if any, of this hotel is still standing.
