Welcome to the forum and a very fine first image. The suggested crop would finish the image off perfectly.

Hi Andy
Welcome to the forum - nice image which would also have looked good in a portrait format if you had some more canvas top & bottom!

I think this is a superb image, especially when you take a little off the left. Look forward to seeing many more.

wow, thankyou for the comments everyone.
I have some more from the set so will look at some in portrait also, this is probably a 20% crop but thats just a guess. It was taken in Oban harbour by lying flat on the pavement and leaning over the wall with the kit on a beanbag. I went for a few days tuition there and it was well worth it

Hi Andy
very nice image, great style and vision, agree that I might have prefered a vertical but the use of blur has really defined the head and look, great first post, and welcome

Hi Andy welcome to UKNP!
but cannot see the option when i reply, to add an image
I believe that option is only avaiable for full paid up members. Then there is an include .jpg file with your reply (next to the Reply to this Topic - Button).
Become a member its cheap enough and well worth it IMHO!
Hi and welcome.... nice first post, agree with the crop suggestion, looking forward to more...

I have been shooting Wildlife for around 6 months now and would really appreciate C&C to help me improve.
This Image was taken in Oban earlier this year
Thanks
Andy
Info
ISO 400 F/3.5 1/320 -1/3 ev
Shot with 1DSMKIII and 400MM F/2.8
If the subject was a little further left in the frame and a bit more empty space on the right it would be perfect
Looking forward to seeing more from you
very nice first post, waiting for more
Bertl
