One from January. A very rainy day, so the birds were mostly sat tight on their nests at Steeple Jason. So this one was just to prove that I lugged a wide-angle lens all the way there. Still working my way through the other 15,000 raw files

A most impressive landscape, fabulous coast line, love the striking colour of the forground contrasting so well with the distant peaks Has made me exhausted just looking at it. The weather looks better then than now!

Lots of interesting lines to follow with the eye in this shot. Somehow the foreground boulder is just a bit too dominant for my liking but I speak from ignorance!

A very strong viewpoint and a most appealing scene. Only nits are, it looks a little over-sharpened and a bit too bright, but I can appreciate that a scene with this amount of fine detail isn't ideally suited for viewing as a small, highly compressed jpeg.

Congratulations on your first posting, Duncan. I think that Justin is right, it does look over-bright and over-sharpened, and personally I would have preferred to see the foreground boulder a little off centre. Welcome to the forum.

Still struggling a bit with a Dell LCD monitor that even with the brightness turned down to zero can be a bit overbright. Takes a little bit of guesswork to compensate at the moment as otherwise images look too dark. And I'm, more of a print worker than a web image person so the sharpening will take some adjusting too. Thanks for the comments.
