Beautiful focus on the eye. However I find f8 rather limiting and much prefer f16, f18 and f20 to increase the detail, oh and a Sigma SD14 of course.   Some may say the OOF twig could be distracting, but should be quite easy to remove. I like the colours against a great BG. Very nice indeed. Keep them coming, Ian.

OOF twig is a little distracting and I might prefer for the tip of the leaf to not be cut off but otherwise nicely done

A nice natural shot. I would probably try to lose the twig as well.

A bit over-sharpened Ian but nevertheless a sharp and detailed shot.

Most nits mentioned Ian but a nice image nonetheless. Looks like the fly is doing some kind of yoga or setting itself up for a nose-dive off the leaf

I like the lighting and colours here. My only real nit would be the OOF twig in the background. Otherwise a nice image.

A lovely composition, lots of detail and the colour is really superb. The twig doesn't bother my enjoyment of this composition.

I love this image Ian - would cloan out the twig above wing but the composition, setting & lighting are great!

Another nice image Ian. Did anyone mention cloning the OOF twig out

P.S. Its 2009 now. Don't worry I've already booked your room in the home for the bewildered
