We have had a doe (with a nice yellow radio collar) and her two fawns share our yard with us this summer, but I never seemed to be able to get a shot of them until tonight. I was going up the driveway and they were just off the drive, so I pulled out the camera and was able to get a few shots off. I did a square crop because there were some distracting branches off to the right.

Wonderful catch! My, what big ears you have...
I especially like the tall grasses surrounding the fawn. Nice muted colors and sharpness, too.
very nice! The only neighbors we have around here are the pesky raccoons that make a mess of our trash cans!

We have those too Michael, as well as skunks, fox, coyote, and black bear. I love being 10 minutes away from downtown and still have all these critters around.

Very nice! Almost like she was posing for you!

Wonderful shot, and the raised leg adds an element of anticipation! It pays to always have a camera within reach and this is the prize that proves it.

Nice capture Scott - one of the best deer I've seen in a while.

Great shot! Really like how the doe is peering through the grass.
