I thought my last grouse post was a nice picture, but after today I have been told by many people they prefer this one, so I thought I would share it with you all, I think that its a little over saturated but everybody liked that aspect.
I bet we have all been surprised, by some of our images that have been popular with others and not us.

I think this is very nice indeed. A very strong composition and the inclusion of plenty of heather around the bird works superbly. Colours look fine to me and personally I don't find them over-saturated.
I'd crop a fraction off of the top, just enough to lose the dark area in the upper corner.

Wow, lovely shot, may crop a little off the top though.

Very nice.. some really nice work coming from this grouse series. Well seen and taken.
Thanks for the comments, I will look in to lopping a bit from the top, and see how it looks, I 'm just a little worried it might make the bird too central, but i'll give it a go and see.
it's um, well, very pink ! its an interesting record shot though so well done for that.

I like this, good comp with bird in profile, nice catchlight too, I might tone down the heather a tad if it were mine, just to see what effect that would have on the image, but not a drama. Well seen and captured

Nicely composed shot, with great colours.
This shot is really nice and uniformed and it shows how effective the grouse's camouflage is.

Another fine shot Danielle, as already mentioned, just needs a touch off the top, nice one
