I'm feeling a little uninspired for titles right now, if you have one let's hear it

I took this in Vasquez Rocks this afternoon. After enjoying my time there so much last time I figured it was worth a return trip this weekend. There's so much to explore there!

The composition isn't as balanced as I'd like it to be, but such are trees.. Thanks for your thoughts.

Well done, Floris! It's a ghostly tree with nice lines and textures.

Ok, I took two photographs on Saturday of the same twisted Jeffrey Pine eeking out and existence in a crack in the granites of the Buttermilk Country. This I thought was the better one. Your treatment of the tree in light with the rocks in shadow in the background is really well composed and shot. Saturday was one of those Beautiful, clear, sunny Eastern Sierra days that once photographed seem uninspiring. So the post in a way is a response.

Hey Floris,

Yesterday I was playing catch-up with my photo editing and finished this photograph from my family's summer vacation driving up the coast. This was in Morro Bay just outside our lodge. I named it "twisted" - coincidence or just a common title? Titles sometimes easily come to me and other times I just can't think of anything. This title is somewhere in between my creative process of easy and just don't know. I often wonder when creating a title how many times has it been used before. I believe this one has been used plenty of times before, but I guess it works.

Sorry, this reply is not much help. Just thought it was funny - same titles and all. Could be my newness to photography, but I don't think I have seen any of my titles being the same as others. I am sure I will see this happen many more times to come as I gain experience.

Love the pic. I enjoy photographing trees and your shot is a wonderful intimate composition. I have said this before on a previous reply to another CANP member but I feel it's worth repeating: an Aunt of mine once said, "trees hold secretes". Their age, beauty and wisdom are always inspiring. I have some theories about what my Aunt said, but I believe it is up to the individual to make their own interpretation.

Nice mix of warm and cool tones. The structure of that three and the nice side lighting make for a pretty nice comp. With a little pruning off the top (next time) this would be perfect.

I really like how you can just make out the background giving a little more mood.
