I like the interesting color. I don't know if you used a GND or some PS technique to get your forground lighter, but to me, it doesn't look quite right with the very dark seastacks. I like the comp, the sky, but from some reason the foreground isn't working for me. Many beautiful qualities though.

I grew up just miles from this place and have seen a million and 10 photos from here...
this one is by far the best......

Thanks for your nice comments everyone. My Parents have a vacation home a couple miles south of this spot in the town of Garibaldi which is my home base for my photo trips to the Oregon coast. Its 40 minutes south of Cannon Beach and 40 minutes north of Cape Kiwanda so its a pretty good location for photography although a bit far from Bandon. Its also close to Portlland where I live which is a big plus. Since its so close to the house and I drive by this spot every time I visit the coast I've grown fond of it but its never been very cooperative for photos. This was probably my 10th attempt at shooting the three graces at sunset and I am glad that I finally was able to pull it off and get a decent shot. This was about 15 minutes after the sun had set. I was thinking about packing up and leaving once it set as it was looking like another dud but I know better than that and sure enough more color began to show for 10-20 minutes after the sun had set and I wouldn't have gotten this shot if I had. Those rocks in the background do seem a bit dark so I may try and rework this one in photoshop to see if I can pull more detail out of them.

Love the comp and the sky you caught here. I agree with Ryan that the foreground may be pushed a little too far; it almost has an HDR feel that seems unnatural.

My initial reaction. Ooh! I like it!
Thumbs up. I like the dark mood. While you have a mostly clear sky, it conveys the coldness (the damp air penetrating your bones) that the coast often has. After reading comments, I'm not sure if I agree or disagree about the foreground vs the rocks. Put me down as neutral. I'd say my biggest criticism of this image (and many of the great images others post here) is that I didn't take it!
