The final wader shot from my recent session in a hide near Sandwich. The green sandpipers approached the hide fairly late in the afternoon, this one is my favourite from a selection of 20 or so shots before they moved on.

Clocking up those waders David and another nice capture to add to your expanding library. A little blue on my monitor but I guess it's because the sun has just been covered by the cloud and therefore in shadow.
Tis a touch blue, particularly in the whites but that is easy to fix, another great wader image to add to your collection from that hide... looks like you made good use of your time in there.
Lighting just doesn't look quite right to me, perhaps a little heavy use of the contrast ??
Might have gone for a straight 600 as a vertical to give more options for space around the subject, as it is a little tight at the top.

Nice image of a bird I haven't see either. I'm with the others about the blue. I took it into photoshop and ran autocolour on it just out of interest. It suited my taste better but of course it is very much a matter of personal preference and I wasn't there. There's loads of detail in the bird which I think comes out more with another round of USM. Wish it were mine!
