Someone needs to cut this grass. This was taken in a Sandlot style baseball field behind a middle school here in Conway and luckily about 150 yards in front of my house. I really should visit it more. It has a nice view to the West and I got to listen to the Carl Stewart middle school football practice that was going on.

This has nice subtle gradations of color. I visualize this as a vertical, with the stem going from almost the lrc diagonally across the frame.

Matt, nice image of foxtail, Setaria sp. one of several foxtail species native to Europe. Pretty good common name, don't you think?

Best,
Don

I tend to have a vertical eye when it comes to compositions so Lon's suggestion to go vertical here is right up my alley. Nice work all around Matthew, keep 'em coming.

Really excellent series Matthew. The silhouette of the weeds really brings out the color in the backgrounds. Nicely seen and captured.
