Took these the wknd before last, not much color wise as I was treated to a cloudless sky. However I was blessed with no wind, and then was blessed again a little later as the sun rose and the clouds started coming in. C&C always appreciated

I recognise those peaks :), I like the soft lighting on the peaks in this image, and the trees don't show too much beetle kill from Bierstadt by the looks of things. I wish it were possible to get the reflection of the peaks a little less obstructed by the grasses, but I know that's not always easy!. I do like the grass in the fg thouigh, nicely captured!.

Interesting photo Kurt, the grass mimics the trees and the mountains reflected, very nice. Agree with Nick's comments too.

Of the images posted, I like the light in #1. But I find the composition in #3 on your web site to be more appealing to me. Too bad there weren't a few low clouds hanging on the peaks.

I really like the light in this shot. Very sweet, and you have a nice balance in exposure.

Great reflection. Really like the grass on the bottom of the frame.

Great soft light, a very enjoyable image regardless of the cloudless sky. I'm from the northwest so I am unfaimiliar with the area, but is this lake named after the late great landscape oil painter Albert Bierstadt?

Thanks everyone for the nice comments, Ryan you are correct they named this lake after the famous painter Albert Bierstadt, they also named Mount Bierstadt after him.
