It's been a while since I've posted here, but that doesn't mean I've stopped taking pictures. Here is a gallery from a trip our camera club took out west to Antelope Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Zion National Park, and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. I had an excellent time being surrounded by good people and beautiful scenery.
superb stuff Tim. This first image immediately blew me away.

The last time I was at Bryce it was below zero. It was nearly 100 at Zion, and at Antelope. My very first trip to the "ring of fire" parks was during my 40th BD in 1995 (spent a month in the area). I started my 40th day in Buckskin Gulch, bought a Cheryl Crow CD in Page (that I still listen to), ate dinner at McDonalds in Moab, and spent the night photographing Delicate Arch - one of my most memorable BDs ever. Looks like yours was too!

Tim-
Great images. Looks like you had a blast. Camera clubs can be a great place for a photographer. Really like the local one I am in. We try to get out and do trips too, it sure makes photography fun.

It looks like it was a supertrip. All your images are fantastic but the one that stands out to me is the second to last from the north rim. Very nice.

Great to have you post here Tim, been a long time. And based on your collection of images it is safe to say it has been our loss not having you posting here regular ... just a stunning collection of images.
Thanks for sharing your SW visions with us. Don't be a stranger.
p.s. Did you find a nice little Jamacian restaurant to dine in while out west?

Great stuff Tim, all are great but you shots on the north rim are my favorites. Thanks for sharing.

Just amazing, Tim...some of the best photography I've seen from this region. You have such a talented eye, and I love seeing your work. The North Rim is pretty sweet, but I think I like the lone tree in Bryce Canyon the best. Let's see some more!

Excellent shots Tim. I'm an Arizonian by birth. I've seen a jillion shots of the North Rim, but I can tell you, the shot you have of the North Rim (second from the end) is absolutely stunning! Very well captured! Thanks for sharing these. Please post some more when you get a chance!

Tim,
If any of my images looked half as good as yours I think I would cry. And I so agree with everyone else about the next to last image from the North Rim. I did get to Arches and Canyonlands last year for the first time and hopefully not my last. A real eye-opening experience for this flatlander. Keep up the great work. Loved every one of those images!

Tim you got some beautiful images and it sounds like you had a great time on your. I agree the north rim is one of my faves. I really want to return to this area myself.

TIm, all of these are great! Your North Rim shots are sweet, and I won't give the 14-24mm all the credit!

Tim,
Indvidually these photographs are excellent. To continue that high standard throughout this body of work is commendable.
Thanks,
Rod

Thanks, everyone! I was with the other 5DII shooters in our group (Aaron and Melissa) during the North Rim shots - it was so much fun!
Wayne: No Jamaican restaurant - but I am still traumatized by the sight of you in dreadlocks.
Aaron: The 14-24 Nikon didn't hurt!
Those wanting more: I thought getting 21 images was pretty good! A 1:100 ratio is a pretty good for me - I'm not sure I can do better than that. For me, really good images only come along once or twice a year.

Wow...these are fantastic! I really, really like the "Northrim" (#20)...I could look at that shot forever I think.
