One from the archives today.. We had some images selected to put on local buses to celebrate the diversity of wildlife in the county. This shows the sticky leaf and I hope the very character from which the plants name derives.

I love the detail, but can't help feeling the entire head should be included. I feel myself trying to look at the bits outside the frame. Only an opinion.
It certainly shows the reason for the name, and the method by which it catches its prey.

Thanks Mike, I know exactly what you mean but it was a compromise between this and getting all manor of other things in the frame as well, including BG and other parts of the plant etc.. Appreciate the comment and it's well made.

I love the detail and colours and sometimes you have to 'lose something to gain something' and in this image you've had to do that, a price worth paying here, lovely light in the droplets very nice Brett

Love the vibrancy and blend of colours. I agree with Mike ,the stalks tend to lead you out of the frame. However as a study its an eye catching image.

nice image Brett. To be a bit different I wonder if going in closer would produce a striking image which may give it an other worldly feel.

A comp choice well made IMHO, however I feel more DOF would have been in order to reveal some more of that excellent detail.

I like the crop as is & think another option would be to crop it even tighter in the frame.
