A follow up to my 'Getting Stuck In' wasp image. Sticking your head inside rotting pears is a messy business and the wasps had to spend quite some time cleaning their faces, antennae and mouthparts.

Here's a 1000 pixel version.

Canon 450D with MPE-65 macro lens, f14, 1/160, ISO 100, diffused Speedlight on side bracket, handheld, almost full frame.

All C+C welcomed.

You're producing some fine images with this lens Matt and this is no exception - can't find fault - nice one AGAIN :wavey: :toast:

You've got yourself a great lens, Matt. Lovely and very detailed shot, with nice warm colours.

Really good image this Matt - I know how tricky that lens can be to work with but you have undoubtedly got it nailed.

Excellent again. Worth sacrificing a few pears for shots like this.

I'm saying it through gritted teeth but an excellent shot. The detail is incredible - just can't stand wasps.
