Last of the series ,promise .
One a little more straight forward and as Ian suggested a pano crop from full frame .
This one is called 'Arnold's wife' after Arnold Swarzeneggar .Why she hasn't got her own name I'm not sure ,but thats what Ole refers to her as .Arnold is a brute of a bird and pig ugly too.How he managed to 'pull' such a gorgeous creature is beyond me ,but aint that the way?
Taken early just by the fish farm with choppy water hindering focus and framing .Frames either side were either OOF ,clipped wing ,just a head ,just a foot, just the fish.... I got lucky with this one .

Incredible action shot Mark. Love the way you have captured the full reach of the wings, the water splash and have managed to keep the head showing well and pin sharp - very well done.

The crop works superbly, and you are right to have the bird flying out the frame.
Simply excellent.

Beautiful shot Mark. I agree the comp is great and spot on exposure. I love the way he seems to be watching you while nonchalantly plucking the fish from the sea.
I would be happy to see a few more of these.
Pete

All been said. Really gives the feeling of the speed of the pick up and those leading wing feathers are spectacular

its ok i guess..........................
I really like this one Mark, has to be my fav because of the colours and the shape of the wing. Love the patterns on the chest and the sort of smile of "Arnies wife"

Arnold .Told you he is ugly !LOL
His beak is severely fractured. How ?..Ole is not sure but it will heal .He does look like a boxer who lost the fight ,got drunk and was met on the doorstep by his wife with a rolling pin.
Thanks for all the support and kind words .
Thanks Des ,pot calling the kettle..... me thinks.
Sorry to the mods for adding an extra image.
