Red Deer And Fawn +Target Bird
Photograph of a female Red Deer and her Fawn taken on my walk up to the summit of Ben More, the only 'Munro' on the island of Mull and at over 3000ft has breathtaking views of Mull, I was trying to get a photograph of a golden Eagle soaring with the mountain as a backdrop with me above it until the fog and mist came in (camera was put away and I did reach the summit) had a bit of luck and returning soon. But I was able to capture some great shots of these beautiful red deer with just a little of the habitat you walk around on the way to the summit.I liked the intereaction caught here between mother and fawn, and the colours.

An excellent capture of a seemingly tender moment between the two, with just the right amount of habitat as well. Worth stopping for on your climb. Looking forward to seeing more, Craig. :wavey:

Nice interaction, and great pasture, did you carry a 600mm 3000 feet, or do you have a wife?

Thanks gents, Tim I use the super-trekker bag and the lens fits nice, hard work though not long got married and would'nt dare ask yet Mull is a beautiful place and I never stopped,a haven for wildlife,I was lucky enough to photograph a golden eagle half way up but with the fog/mist in the BG it's not the best. My aim was the 'Soaring Andes Condor' look with the eagle beneath me in the valley, mist, light half in the shot etc.Next time! A brillant moment for me to have seen these birds, that I have never seen before in the wild and well worth spending the whole day getting up there and back down   :wavey:

Hi Craig, nice shot of this deers in their environment. Nice to see them "contacting" each other.
The eagle looks a little to dark to me. But it must have been a great moment.

Hello Craig.

Glad you had a good trip and got some good pictures.

I like the Red Hind and Calf picture and the comp works ok as is. But I think I might try a vertical crop on this as well. Just a thought.
