Partly in response to Ian Mason's post, but mainly because my KF project is progressing - albeit slowly.

Today I had my best 'visit' since I set up my new perch 3 weeks ago.

It lasted all of about a minute until a Wood Pigeon flew in and spooked the KF. Sadly, this shot was not exactly what I was after as it was another hour before the morning sun rose high enough to hit the perch, but I was happy with the shot nonetheless.

...........back again tomorrow...... :jump:

Camera: Canon EOS-1D Mark III
Exposure: 0.003 sec (1/320)
Aperture: f/4.0
Focal Length: 500 mm
ISO Speed: 800
Exposure Bias: -1/3 EV

Great shot Graham, I really like the reflection in the eye and looking forward to more.

Yes, it's images like this that inspire me to have a real go. Haven't been back to the pond - yet!

Lovely rich colours and very nice detail. I have been chasing one for days now without success. I have other images but always want to go one better! My time will come, as yours already has!! Great stuff Graham.
