Taken with a POS Canon point and shoot after my G10 got wet and stopped working. Two exposures (taken on Auto by pointing to the sky to get the exposure for the mountain and then framing correctly for the exposure for the foreground. Obviously no tripod, auto-aligned in PS.)
From my recent backpacking trip to the Glacier Peak Wilderness. We camped right on that light green patch of grass in the middle of the photo.

Looks like a great area to explore...did you get any shots of the creek....

Thanks. No, it wasn't that nice looking and aside from that, the little point and shoot I grabbed from someone else on the trip was totally, totally automatic and not worth fooling with too much.
It was great to coincidentally run into on the trail, Mark. I hope you enjoyed the trip out. Having so many access roads washed out on the west side of the wilderness as a result of flooding, it was nice to finally get back into the heart of the wilderness. It was a somewhat strenuous march up and down and up and back down the gap again, but one of my better backpacking experiences for sure.
Sorry to hear about your G10, but I really like the composition you chose here. And you even had clouds!

Bummer about the G10, especially with how beautiful a scene you were photographing. It must have been awesome to be there. The two photos go together nicely, especially for no tripod.

Trevor, yes, that was pretty wild. I hope you had a good time up there.
