Notchtop before the fog and snow

Woke up early yesterday and went for a little hike before the weather came in. Was hoping for less clouds at sunrise than what I got, but they broke for a few minutes and the sun shone through to allow me to get a shot or two in. A little while later the fog/low cloud deck established itself and light snow started to fall within the hour. I headed back down to the car and stopped by to say "Hi!" to Erik as he tended shop (my first time to actually stop by when the door was open).

Here is one of the shots I am working on from the outing. It is a blended image so that I could better match-up the sky and peaks with the foreground trees and bushes. A little cropping in from the edges as well to get the composition a little more pleasing to my eye. Tried to pull-up the shadows in the bushes as well, but the colors look a little off so I will have to keep trying.

C&C welcome. :wavey:

I think your blend has a nice balance to it. Very natural. I like the comp a lot, and the wisp of cloud below the mountain.

Sure looks good to me! I love the little orphan cloud on the peak. Sure looks like fall up there.

Nice comp, Steven, although I'd trade a little space on the bottom for some on the top. The autumn colors contrast nicely with the sky.

Looks nice, Steven! I agree on maybe a little more space up top, but that's no big deal.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I'll take a look again at the cropping and see if I can add some room on the top.
