Fall flowers
The wild flowers are still fantastic around here this year. Last night wasn't good for the wide view so I opted to shoot close ups. I can't decide about this shot, is the blossom in the upper right corner too distracting? Thanks in advance!

I like the dof and detail, the upper blossom is distracting to me, the background colors and soft details compliments the main flower

Very nice. The background color really adds to it. Kudos!

Very nice, Scott! The blues contrasting with the yellow/gold background is a real treat!

As to the bloom in the corner--I think that's a toss-up. I don't necessarily find it distracting as just unnecessary to the composition. If you get rid of it, I'd also eliminate the small "sprig" coming out of the right edge about midway down in the shot.

Lovely picture!

Scott, I really like the overall color and the details on the stem. I have to agree with Rob though about the URC, it is a bit of a distraction. You are right, the fall flowers are real special this year, this looks like Blue Sage, and there must have been some Goldenrod in the vicinity from the color of the background. Very nice.

Love the color in this, Scott. I'd have to go along with the others about cloning the URC.

Scott the beautiful background really makes this shot for me.

Scott, fantastic color....Would definitely clone the corner out. The stark blue against the gold is breathtaking...It's a keeper!

The color combination really works here Scott. I like how the 300 mm focal length separated your subject from the bg. It looks like you may have done a little selective blurring to the bg. I'm for cloning out the UR blooms and leaf at RC.

Good work on this wildflower portrait.
