Uinta Mountain Over-nighter
Spent the weekend in the Utah's Uinta Mts and visited some old standby locations and a couple of new ones. I haven't been out in a while and it sure was nice despite forgetting my sleeping bag at home (what a dumba**). Needless to say it was cold saturday night!

C&C always welcome and thanks for looking.

Nice series! I especially like the last one.

Boy, you sure saved the best for last! Those last three are simply amazing. The others rock, too.

My vote goes for the last three also. Nice work!

Very nice stuff here. Like the last two - strong compositions, solid B&W conversion, clouds adding to the image. Print them large and hang them up. :toast:

Nice stuff, Jeff! The last one is my favorite. Well done.

I've forgotten lots of things at home on camping trips but never a sleeping bag. I laughed outloud when I read that! Sorry to chuckle at your misadventure.

As for the images - awesome! The alpenglow on Hayden Peak and that very last one are exceptional. Glad you had a good time.

Excellent images! I gotta get out there soon.

No sleeping bag???!!!! Ouch. Hope you at least built a fire to cuddle up to.

I'm really intrigued by the first image. It leaves me yearning to see the upper portion, but perhaps that's the mystery of it.

#4 and #5 are just fantastic work. The composition is very well done indeed!

A sweet series - 4, 5 , 6 are my faves. I love the comps, but share Jack's thoughts on #1. The Mirror Lake BW is really well done!

I liked #1,5, and 6!

It's a treat to see the Uintas here! Gotta make time to get up there one of these years. #1 is my pick of the bunch, but there's a lot to like in all of them.

Thanks for the comments! It truly was great to be out in the 'wilds'.

Bret, no apology for laughing at the misadventure. I probably laughed harder than you after the initial shock of it wore off. Note to self: be careful when loading truck at 4am.

Jack and Dave, in #1 I purposely left the sky out since there wasn't a single cloud and thought the underwater rocks were a pretty decent foreground. Also I liked the mystery, as mentioned by Jack, of the skyless scene.

Great colors and B&W treatment, #4 seems soft for some reason.
