it's like a mini peregrine, what's a section 10? Oh nice photo, good over the shoulder peek.

V nice mark, was just wondering when your weekend exploits would be making an appearance. Well exposed and got the catchlight nicely.

I have never seen a Hobby before......

Is section 10 a category of protection?

Article 10 is the certification that bird of prey owners need to have to be able to use any birds they have for anything other than personal purposes ie displaying them to the public, educational purposes etc. In other words it's DEFRA paperwork not a protection category.

Nice shot Mark, even in harsh light. Depending on how I move my head about the screen the sharpness changes. Weird.

Lake Vyrnwy's is great, I did some volunteering there over autumn. Did you meet Gary or Jim at the RSPB shop? They're both full of character.

An absolutely top notch image.I love the way the f/g and b/g colours merge, and the way the light falls onto the bird. Superb.

I love it! I really like the way the perch mysteriously rises through the soft stuff. Colours are stunning.
