As you may have noticed (or not) I haven't been posting too much of late but in my defence I have been keeping tabs on everyone else's work - top quality as usual.
This one was taken early on Saturday morning in North Norfolk, I had big plans for the mornings shoot and to my surprise the weather changed just like that so hopefully I made the best of what I had.
All C&C is most welcome as always.

Hi Drew ,nice little study ,cant help wondering at the colour temp though, looks a tadge too beige for an 'am' image .

Lovely image, the background and foreground really shows off the birds plumage.
I would clone the bottom right hand rock, distracts me.

Hi Drew,
A cracking little image and some very nice detail in the bird. I must admit though, I had the same thoughts as Mark with regards the colour temp. Either way this is an image I would be pleased with.
Cool details with the little droplet on the beak. I feel the out of focus rocks at the bottom of the image are quite distracting although they do give a sense of perspective. The weather's a killer.
Is that another Dunlin in the background?

A nice image Drew, lovely light.
You got much more out of your trip to Norfolk than I got out of mine....

Intense light on this one. (haven't had much of that lately). I'd be tempted to crop a little from the top and left. The rock near your signature is the one that catches my eye, but if you cropped above it you would lose the reflection.
Many thanks for all your comments they are greatly appreciated. The light/colour issue I didn't really do anything in terms of processing with the colours, only brightening the image up slightly as the water seemed to fool the metering. To me the light looks to me as if I were there, it was after all first light and shooting with the light, I did wonder if it may get a mixed reaction on that issue.
As for the distracting stone, I did think that perhaps I should have removed it but as with all my work I submit here, I try to leave it relatively untouched and and the work through critiques and suggested issues.
And finally Chris, yes that is another Dunlin in the BG.
Many thanks all !

I really like this, the warm glow of the early morning light is always a winner. I agree with the points made about rocks etc. This is one of a long list of birds i am still to photography

Hello Drew.
Its a fine capture and the light is really nice for me.
The only thing I might do is to crop some of the left and top just to move the bird more away from the middle of the image.
