Lake of the Crags
I had the opportunity over the weekend to go by horseback to Lake of the Craigs and camp overnight in the Mount Zirkel Wilderness. This is about 10 miles from the nearest trail head, just below the Continental Divide. I had visited this place some 30 years ago and had always wanted to go back to photograph it. Finally got there....

Well, duh.... Todd, you're right as usual. I guess I've spent too much time living in NW Colorado, where the town west of here is spelled "Craig." Thanks....

Going back to someplace special after a long period of time is really a great experiance. I was wondering if it's as you remember it? I like 'em all but #1 is my favorite.

What a great setting to spend the night at. You've really been utilizing horseback rides to your advantage this summer.

I like the comps and light. IMO, the contrast is a bit high, but since no one else seems to mind you probably can safely ignore that opinion.
