One of my few attempts at a panoramic taken some time back at Lake Conway from Brannon's Landing.
Three shot blend taken w/D2x and Nikkor 24-120VR. I don't have either the camera or the lens anymore having moved on to other equipment but they sure worked well together!
Enjoy!

Dave love the fog and trees, the colors are wonderful also. A beautiful image.

I like this a lot. My parents live on Lake Conway and this takes me back to the days of getting ready for school in the mornings.

Lovely image and colors. Of course, having birds in it makes it for me!

Nice one! I love the early morning colors at Lake Conway...It looks different everytime you see it! The birds add a nice element to the shot...BTW, your D2x is still taking some fine shots!

Dave, the whole scene is great. Everytime I drive by Lake Conway I want to stop and explore the area. This scene feels like fall to me.

Outstanding shot!
This is inspiring me to get my lazy self out of bed early to try and catch some fog. Thanks for sharing it.

Extraordinary light captured in this image, David, and the geese really bring it to life.
What body are you shooting now?

Thanks to all for your kind comments. I always stand amazed at the great talent I see here on the forum and am grateful for the input of its members and to be included in some small way among them.
Bill, as to my current equipment, I'm using a pair of Nikon D300's. I"ve elected to stay with the DX format since it gives me that little bit of extra reach for my wildlife shots which is my primary interest. As a result, one of them stays permanently mated to a Nikkor 200-400VR w/a 1.4 teleconverter while the other rotates between a Nikkor 17-55 f2.8 and an older Nikkor 28-105 f3.5. I use the 28-105 fairly often since it also serves as a great macro lens giving me up to a 1:2 ratio for macro shots.
Best to all!

PS > Karla, glad your nephew is still enjoying the D2X! I'd love to see some of the work he's producing with it!
