New SanDisk Cards Coming (Possible Good Deals on Current Cards)

SanDisk has a new line of Extreme cards coming out (see it here at B&H). Nice specs: UDMA level 5, 60/MB sec, but that probably helps video shooters more than still shooters.
Anyway, typically in the past when SanDisk introduces a new line, they get the dealers to lower prices on old stock AND offer rebates at the same time, so maybe the Extreme IV cards will get cheap here in the near future. Last time SanDisk did this, I got three 8GB Extreme III CF cards for $170 ($57 each) with a $160 Mail In Rebate. No typo, that's three 8GB cards for $10. So let's keep our eyes on this, the deals come quick and sell out quick. BTW, Adorama.com is usually a good source for these deals when they come.

Chase Jarvis is doing the shoot for this new product line and his been blogging about it on his site. SanDisk gave him permission to disclose much of what goes on for a professional shoot. This isn't really nature related, but it is quite fascinating to see what the pros do.
