O.T. Oregon-Washington in August
During August, I was part of a six member group led by Tony Litschewski - he calls it the Breakin' Wind Photo Tour. We visited sites in Oregon and Washington. I wanted to share four of my favorites from the trip and, hopefully, receive your comments.

This is an image made from near Mt. Rainier, looking south toward Mt. Adams. You can just see the tip of Mt. Hood in the distance.

This is Punch Bowl Falls in the Columbia Gorge.

My favorite is the view of Mt. Adams with the fog shrouded valley and the dappled light, with the falls a close second.
Second Beach is pretty darned nice, too!

Very nice! I'll have to echo John on the image of Mt. Adams / Mt. Hood with the fogged valley in the foreground.

Seems like I remember seeing several images of the falls with a huge log jammed diagonally into the wall below the falls. Am I thinking of another waterfall? Or perhaps it got swept away.

Heck ya! #3 is stunning. Layers upon layers, and fog, and light rays, and interesting foreground, and ..., and ..., and ... Really nice.

Wow! Great stuff here. All are really, really nice, but the bright colors against the dark forest greens and the mirror reflection #1 just grabs me. :toast:

Number 3 gets my vote followed by number 4 :toast:

Beautiful work Rod! Two and three are my favorites! It took me a little while to realize in the first image that there was a mountain there. At first I thought it was just cloud. Pretty cool! I would have loved to have seen a little more detail in the waterfall but I like the stones below the surface and the leading line of the reflection. :toast:

Really like 1, 2, and 4 the best. Where was 1 taken, Mt Ranier area?

#3 is awesome! All that depth in those ridges and layers of haze and peaks: wow! Beautiful color palate too. The others are quite nice as well; I love the silhouettes and reflected light on the sand in the beach shot. But the third is knocking my socks off.

The first three are great, nice composition and lighting.
