Stretching for Breakfast
I was headed over to 11 mile state park this morning when I saw a herd of Elk just west of Divide. Of course I stopped to watch and was able to capture this cow stretching for the aspen tree that was bowed over. I know it's not great but it's not something I've seen before. I cropped this from a larger image and bumped up the saturation just a little. I would like some comments on the color and composition. Thanks for the time.

Looks like that elk is pulling the tree down to browse!
Color looks good. Just wish you could have zoomed in tighter. Still kinda hard to tell that it's an elk.
Just being able to see this sighe would have been good enough for me!

Color and composition look good. Very cool shot - I'd be proud of it.

Based on the way this jpeg looks on my screen, it appears you're stretching the limits of the information that's there. I wonder if bumping up the ISO a stop or so, and thereby gaining a little shutter speed, would have resulted in a little sharper image? Not sure, just a thought.

I think it's a good documentary shot, and of course it would help if you had big glass like the wildlife boys have. Of course, I don't own anything over 300mm either. No coins for that large a lens.
