I was just wondering if there was a get together planned, and when it was ??? I am trying to plan to be in Bishop the first week of October. If that is too late, is anyone planning to be in the Bishop area at that time? I'm going to take casual cruise through Sonora Pass, and possibly Tioga this weekend to see how things are shaping up color wise.

Hey guys,
I just saw the thread above, and will try and make it on sunday. Are the camp grounds in Lee Vining or June Lake loop fee, or just first come first serve? Do you need a reservation?

Chris---I used to live in Vcaville--- try driving up HWY 50 & come over Carson Pass-----might be lots of color there.

I'll be coming through Vacaville on 10/ 2 or 3 if you are around.( prob 10-2)

Hey Chris,

glad you saw the other thread. I'll be posting some additional info on the get together at Silver Lake in the next couple of days including some directions and perhaps some Google Earth info...

As far as camping in Lee Vining Canyon, I don't expect you'll have a problem. You won't need to reserve anything, but if there is a camp host, you'll have to register and pay - probably $15 tops. But there's plenty of spots and unoccupied areas you can claim as your own. Personally, I've got lodging with my wife just outside of June Lake, so I'm not camping this year. I think others are scattered between camping and motels...

MOre to come...

Hey Chris I should be camping up there too.

Maybe we can get a small group to camp there in Lee Vining Saturaday.
