In For the Kill (+2nd version)
Spent a while watching this Heron stalking it's prey as they do, when suddenly, there was a huge splash as he/she lunged into the water for a snack. Sadly it missed lol.

40D, 300 f4 +1.4t/c,ISO250,f9,1/1000

I think that the second works a little better in terms behaviour shot but the first one is captured as you would have seen it.

Either one works in there own way.

Nice one Fran, I prefer the second one, for me its needs a smidge of rotation. Great detail shot.
