Hi Andy
The other image posted elsewhere was the one I prefered .The horizon needs squaring, the BG is a cluttered and the figure top right and the excess bird aren't adding anything to the image for me.
Had a dabble if thats ok .

Hello !

I think your first Gull one worked much better. I would agree with Mark RE horizon. I wonder perhaps you could get away with straightening and also, a bit harsh I know & I certainly doesn't want to cause arguments as I know it can be a touchy subject with wildlife photography but perhaps clone the floating gull out and then it would give you more space to work with in terms of cropping? But your first image, the way to go IMHO, good stuff !

Well caught action Andy, I like the water coming away from the gulls feet.
Nits already covered.

I would say the the floating gull works. Personal opinion of course and not critising you Mark, just something about it watching the other two. Agree about the background, do you feel this could be cloned out to match the cliff face? maybe adding a little canvas on the LHS? not that i know how to do any of this stuff in PP yet but i'll find out when i get back.

Hi Drew

I can see where your coming from about cloning the gull out but for me its a no no. I dont see an issue with cloning parts of the background(though as photographers we should be controlling the background anyway) but i would have reservations about cloning secondary subjects from an Image, after all we are trying to capture the natural world and sometimes having a subject in the BG gives a sense of behaviour.

Again i'm not critising as the time people are taking to look at and give C&C on my work is apreciated.

Hope this makles sense and doesn't sound like im rambling.
