While in Barnes & Noble this morning, I was
leafing through a copy of COLOR Photo Magazine
Issue 4. Winners' pictures were listed in
various categories. In the nature section, pages
104-05, Dan won a Merit Award for the following
images:
Mist in the Valley
Ancient Mystery
Dancer
Congratulations, Dan. Your work is beautiful.

I saw them as well. Way to go, Dan. You should have gotten the grand prize!

Paul, I tried finding a link with little success. This magazine just got started and is
an offshoot of Ross Publishing which has been doing the B&W version for seveal
years. When I went to the website of the new version, i.e. the color one where Dan's
images, the site wasn't very well developed. I think the first edition (copy) came out
in the spring, and presently the publisher is going to do it bimonthly. By going to the
"galleries" section I had hoped to bring up Dan's images but had no success. While
there, I was told, "coming soon." However, I did enjoy Dan's beautiful images in the
glossy magazine at Barnes & Noble this morning. I also noticed that another photo
contest is coming up with the deadline being some time in November. Once again
I got that information from the actual magazine. On the magazine's website I found
no place where I could download and print an entry form. A copy of the entry form was
in the actual magazine. For anyone who's interested, I hope that this information helps.
