Hey everyone. I wanted to get some opinions on the processing I've done to this image. I've put quite a bit of effort in to realizing my vision for this - it's pretty close to what I imagined when I took it. But, it's usually a good thing to gather a few opinions! I won't go in to too much detail, just numerous TK masks and whatnot.

This is *much* better viewed in a darkened environment against a black background.

Wow, that is a very cool image! I like all the variations of light on "branches and those round things look like stars. I think you did a great job with processing.

I love this, Kurt. I think your processing is perfect and the image itself is simply outstanding. It isn't the kind of photo that will have mass appeal but it's highly artistic and took a lot of creative energy to see and photograph this scene. :toast:

Kurt,

This is just wonderful. I'm drawn to scenes like this and have tried many times to make them work. Yours is superb.

Cheers,
Alex

Looks great, Kurt! I might bring up the lights just a tiny bit, but not much, the dark mood is fine.

LIke this very much - very stylish indeed. Bet it would look spectacular printed up large!

This is a beauty, Kurt! I like it as is, but I think upping the highlights a bit would really make it pop and would help if/when you print it. Well done.

Beautiful! Nothing else to say except you should post it in the Flora gallery for this week's theme of "unflowers". :toast:

What a beautiful and abstract image, wonderful job. Good job on the PP but I agree just a tad brighter.

Thanks for the thoughts everyone!

As for the lights, I've spent hours tweaking them. The way it is now is more of a print consideration than anything else - just a tad more and significant detail is lost. So damn touchy they are!

Very nice! I love the mood and tension. I'd like to see the buds a little lighter but I hear ya about losing detail. Good job!

Nice job with this. I can imagine it was probably a pain to get just right, but it looks good. Be nicer to see a print!
