Fallow Deer
Whilst taking this image, I kept thinking I wasn't too happy with the b/g. But after processing, I was rather surprised and rather pleased with this one. The f/g bracken troubled me somewhat owing to the yellow bits, but after some deliberation, I decided to post it to see what you all think.

I selected the deer and gave her a little more contrast in CS4, but other than that, and a little sharpening, no other tweaks.

As always, your opinions are much valued.

40D,300 mm,ISO 400,1/60, f5.6.

That'll do nicely. Atmosphere captured to a tee . A touch of selective burn to the highs in the BG perhaps ?

A nice shot Fran in an attractive and atmospheric setting.
The deer looks like a Fallow, rather than Sika.

Doe LOL you are right it is a fallow. Thanks Justin and Maggie, title corrected accordingly. I always get those two muddled! I blame it on old age

Lovely atmosphere Fran :wavey:

I'd agree with Mark, and I'd also tone down the Green channel saturation in the FG leaves - they look a little vivid and slightly out of keeping with the rest of the image - imo of course

Not lending you a tripod again  .... Super, agree tone down the fg, should be easy enough. The atmosphere is very nice.
