Sea Anemone, Fitzgerald Marine Reserve. Over the last year I've been playing around with tidepool photography. I find macro hard enough, but combined with cold, poor light, underwater subjects, slippery rocks...it's challenging and a heck of a lot of fun. This is one of the more common anemone's around these parts, but its not often I see one opened up so well under these conditions. Of course all critiques are appreciated.
Love those colors Greg, and the tight comp. If you're having trouble with glare while shooting the tide pools, try bringing a big umbrella or cardboard to get the critters in the shade.

Dam perfect shot Greg, I like the symmetry.
I find it pretty hypnotizing. After starring at it, I wonder what's inside. Nice work.

Thanks Floris and Steve.
Floris, I usually do bring an umbrella, but that day left it at home . It definitely helps at times, although on those tough days not so much (especially windy days ).

Well done, Greg. You achieved sharpness despite the subject being underwater.

I love the detail and color captured here. Composition works quite nice too... everything is very symmetrical. Well except for that lone tentacle (?) on the LL edge of the frame. I wish it were pointing downward. Very nice work!

Hazardous conditions or not you couldn't ask for a better shot. Just got to say, cool photograph.

Appreciate the comments and feedback!
Eric, I was happy to get this sort of symmettry. You should have seen the 'tentacles' a few minutes later....all over the place to say the least.
